What is Mage?

Mage is a browser platform for running Stable Diffusion-style image and video models, including mature content behind a setting.

Model choice without a GPU

Mage gives access to many popular open models and LoRAs in the browser, with private generations by default. It is for people who know what a checkpoint is and want to pick one.

Content rules

One review reads Mage's terms as allowing artistic nudity and suggestive content but not sexually explicit material. If explicit content is your goal, check the current terms or use a dedicated tool.

What 'model choice' means in practice

Different open models excel at different things: some at photorealism, some at anime, some at specific aesthetics. Mage lets you switch between them and add LoRAs (small style or character add-ons) without installing anything. If those words are new to you, read our how it works guide first.

Character tools

One review describes Mage carrying a face across clips from a single portrait, using reference images to hold body and outfit, and giving characters a consistent voice. It also supports animating your own first frame.

Pricing confusion

Third-party reviews quoted different Pro prices. Mage's official pricing page, checked on 4 November 2026, settles it: Basic $10, Pro $30 (with unlimited video), Pro Plus $60 and Max $200 a month.

Who should pick it

Users who already know open-source image generation and want it in the browser with a normal card checkout. Beginners and those who want explicit output should look at dedicated adult tools.

Our scoring, explained

7.8/10: great model choice and convenience, held back by content restrictions reported in its terms and unclear pricing.

New accounts get 300 free Gems; Gems run any model with no subscription. Memberships add unlimited generation on included models:

Billing is through Stripe, plans can be cancelled any time and upgrades are pro-rated; refunds are “typically” not offered. Every plan carries a commercial licence. (Our earlier “from $15” figure from third-party reviews was out of date and has been corrected.)

Models, privacy and content rules

Mage says it runs 32 image, video and audio model families, including its own Mango, Cherry and Guava lines alongside Flux 2, SDXL, Wan Video v2.2 and others. Creations are private by default until you post them. Its FAQ states that illegal content, including any material involving minors or deepfakes, is strictly prohibited.
